!!HORROR MOVIE DISCUSSION!!

I didn't care for it that much. Same old tropes, jumpscares and predictability.

I noticed nobody mentioned the first Saw movie. The twist when the
body arose
was perfectly executed. The plot was sort of original in its own way. (The Pit & The Pendulum, anyone? Or, CUBE?) and the acting didn't feel B-rated, it was very well cast.

Now... how do we all feel about The Human Centipede, eh?
To me The Human Centipede is an entertaining horror movie. It's like a subgenre all on its own It's disgusting as hell and you can't look away. Every time I see it I feel like my face is making the Goregrish WTF emoji face 😂🤣😂🤣.

Which horror movies have you watched that were so disturbing or deeply unsettling that you will not watch them again?
I actually thought of another movie I watched a while back because the ratings are astronomically high and it is one of the most disturbing... bizarre movies I have ever watched, it was so hard to get through😂🤣😂🤣

And that was Eraser Head.

And another thing that was irritating was the preview on Amazon Prime did not reveal anything really about what the movie was so I was caught between not really getting the gist from the preview and seeing how high all the ratings were so I just decided to go for it and the whole time throughout the entire movie in my mind I'm just like ..."what.. the ..actual..fuck". It's soooo weird.

Hey Goregrish Fam! (Yes I said it). So...this is going to be a somewhat long post, I apologize in advance.

As I've mentioned before... I'm new here to GG. I've had some time to think tonight... after my redneck neighbors we're done setting off their M80s... and I decided that I wanted to make this post.

Somebody asked me recently what brought me to this site. I have gone through all the other Gore sites and I settled on this one. I really like the interactive atmosphere of this site. And before any of you cyber lynch me just hear me out 🤣.

I would like to start a thread on horror movies and horror cinema in general. I think many of us are here because we seek stimulation. Many of us who have been through things in our life whether it's childhood trauma, combat trauma, or ADD /ADHD... or all of the above ( as with me being a Marine Corps veteran).. it takes a little bit extra for us to feel something.

We've become accustomed to being numb to so much that it takes a site like this to make us feel something. And that's okay! But I think that there's a correlation between the content on this site and a love for horror movies! So I'd like to open up a discussion regarding horror movies. Many of you might be rolling your eyes right now and that's fine! But I thought I would take a chance and make this post.

The subject of the discussion is Horror Movies... The good, the bad, and the utterly disturbing. I am a dyed in the wool cinephile (a person with a passionate interest in cinema, film theory, and film criticism).

I absolutely adore horror movies. I think the love of horror movies falls right in line with the love of Gore. So I will put this question to you..my fellow movie fans; what are some of the horror movies that you either love, hate, or will never watch again because of how viscerally disturbing they were.. or just your thoughts on horror movies that fall here there and everywhere in between the aforementioned topics.

Like I said, many of you will read this and want to proverbially stone me to death because of how long this post is, or because you might find it mundane/gay compared to general Gore subject matter. I get it ...and if you want to say something mean/punishing as a result of it then that's okay I welcome it...come at me GG😆.

But I'm not scared of taking a chance and going out on a limb. I like this site and I wanted to do something to participate more actively. I'll post a follow-up question as a start to a horror movie centric discussion
Watch the gorge today, pretty cool
