I finally got it, after the longest three days of my life; my multi-region player. I watched Paolo Pierre Passolini's "Salo or The 120 Days of Sodom". Holy fuck, mein gott, the whole lot. This is a must-see for everyone here interested in the disgusting and depraved. Taking the same literary path as John Milton's "Paradise Lost", this is a classic descent into depravity. You watch as four Italian aristocrats in the final days of world war II take 18 teens, 9 boys and 9 girls into the secluded castle of a town called Salo. In this castle, they arrange marriages to each other's daughters to solidify their oligarchical positions of power for generations after, then bring in the teens. There are three parts, an introduction period where the virgins are de-flowered, then they violate them in part 2, the circle of shit; the name should explain itself (lots of coprophagia and urophagia) then it all degrades to extreme violence in part 3: the circle of blood. Whipping, rapes, scalping, and all other manner of torture as it ends on a homo-erotic note with two of the Italian militia guards, in a moment of respite, try dancing with each other. Pure unadulterated debauchery, through and through.

Watched this back in highschool with 10 others and man was it a wild movie. Went to class with a kid that collected depraved movies like this and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s on this forum.

I was actually thinking about getting some people from here and the discord I'm on to come to a kind of internet red-room where I'll stream them under password protection like a watch party for fucked up movies.

I have some friends from Xbox that would come too, and I think it would be hilarious to get the discord and Xbox ppl reactions... for posterity

Get a HDD with a few terabytes and format to fat32, should be able to play most codecs on your Bluray player (not sure about the hevc codecs [h.264 and h.265] but it should play almost every codec, especially if you got a newer model, just look up "[Bluray player brand and model] hevc compatible" and you should be able to store a few hundred or a few tens of thousands of movies and tv show episodes, depending on HDD space, encodings, and resolution(I down the resolution to 480p to maintain decent quality and save a SHITLOAD on disc space)

I have 2.4 terabytes (about 2,400gb) worth of just tv shows and movies, with approx. 10,000 episodes/movies(only approx because around 3,500 files would be subs) and I still have about 300gb of space, and after I finish converting everything to h.265 10-bit at 480p I should have about 600-700gb free

Also, drop the frame rate from 30 to 25fps or even 22-20 would work well too and also drop the file size again (I can't notice any loss of quality, although admittedly, there will be a minute drop)

I use handbrake, it's a cross platform software that's free

I liked the book better, the movie was meh.
