I ain't gonna be too quick to judge here. The dude getting the beating could have been talking inappropriately to a young relative of the bigger guy, or his friends. The reaction of the smaller guy is one of guilt, not fear or anything else. He got caught doing something, maybe as trivial as stealing a phone charger or a couple of dollars, was being questioned by bigger dude, and not giving honest answers...
