Damn old people are in a hurry as they know their tickers can stop ticking any second , the old dude must've thought "let me get This oil change done bring it home for the wife and maybe just maybe she will play with my gear shifter before I stop ticking "

I worked at a shop with big glass windows where the street parking was directly facing us. Someone mixed up their gas and brake pedals attempting to park, jumped the curb, drove over the sidewalk, pushing a man into the window. He didn’t kill him because the back axle caught the curb long enough for someone to open the driver door to turn the keys to the car off. The driver was standing on the gas, believing it was the brake. He wasn’t drunk, he was just mistaken. Absolutely SURE he was on the brakes. I had heard of that happening, still hear about it now, like this dude at the Speedy Lube. The pedals aren’t that close…really. So, why does it still happen? 🤷‍♀️
