Iran has named Mojtaba Khamenei as its new supreme leader, just over a week after the assassination of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in joint United States-Israeli strikes that have plunged the entire region into a sprawling war.

The 56-year-old, who will now be charged with leading the Islamic Republic through the biggest crisis in its 47-year history, was named by clerics as his father’s successor on Sunday.

I’m with ya Jenny, but he is dead. Trump has little to do with the life of this man. Powers that were hunting and killing Arabs back when Trump was a child have him in their sights.

Iran can’t be allowed to get nukes, everyone agrees, but Israel has directed America’s Middle East policy for far too long. Trump is just the latest tool.

We need to go home and let them mop up. Targets, including specific individuals, need to be based on a war winning strategy, not personal grievances.
