It's rare for the media to use the term "serial killer" these days.

The criteria for serial killing, at least according to the fbi, extends beyond just number of bodies. It’s equally about intention — generally the fetishization of the murdering process (or postmortem activities)

Sounds like Sovjet Russia, where they refused to acknowledge serial killers because 'great communist Russia doesn't have people like that.' Leading to many victims. I think it was the Chessboard killer or somesuch.

In Brazil, I dunno, they should care if innocents get killed IMO, instead of people voluntarily consorting in the drug trade. But corruption is a bitch and human life is worth shit.

I went to a soccer match in Brazil once. They told us we had to leave afterwards, right away, because there usually are riots and random victims. They do not care if you are a tourist or not, they don't even care for their own. No rubber bullets there.
alexander pichuskin only murdered after the collapse of the soviet union

Vladimir Putin is the biggest (currently alive) serial killer of all now that you mentioned it...followed closely by Maduro in Venezuela.

Don't even argue, I live in a country where people make public acts to defend Nicolas Maduro and treat Stalin as if he were a god and the current president here was in prison for stealing taxes and was still elected. I'm no longer surprised by the absurdities that people are capable of defending nowadays... But that's not the topic here.

I'm sorry that you are in Venezuela....a (formerly) rich oil country ruined by Communists. Believe it or not...we have people just as stupid as Maduro in our Congress and Senate. The gov of California Gavin Newsom is no better than Maduro he has completely ruined California. I am a Trumper but feel Trump is too sympathetic to Putin and is making mistakes in dealing out the Europeans and our role in NATO. But he is still MILES ahead of Kamala Harris! Have a nice day. Maduro can not live forever. ( God still rules even though it doesn't seem like it my friend ).

No, Goldstein, my reactions are just an attempt to remind you what a retard you really are.

Interesting how a guy like you, who supposedly lived on an American base in Germany and sucked dick in Albania for years, knows nothing about Europe

Now they use this expression in a very specific case to give more attention, but I think that nowadays there are much more than before, there are people from Cartels with 400 deaths on their hands, people from gangs being arrested with 20 homicides, I saw it in some documentary that today's media avoids calling a serial killer as much as possible to give people a "sense of security", but the number of killers with a lot of deaths on their backs is only increasing everywhere. What do you think?
average gang member Has like 4 heads minimum ??????

What? I don't know if you're asking or saying something. But in Brazil, for example, there's the PCC faction that runs the country and is everywhere, it's a big country. Not to mention Colombia and Mexico, etc.

aghh it was a statement, i just added question marks as i am unsure of how those gang members aren't considered "serial Killers".

Yes, there is an interview with a guy from Colombia on YouTube, he killed more than 500 people and said that many of them were not due to drug trafficking or gang wars, it was just because he really wanted to.

What do you think?my uncle who was a cop also said it was to avoid giving these killers fame, many times that’s what they crave even if they want to stay hidden they like the attention so it’s also to avoid giving them the attention they seek but at the same time it also hurts people when they don’t know about someone doing these things because if they are unaware they could fall for the tricks

They don't use the term "serial killer" much, but they love the term "mass shooter" and "mass shooting" even though a mass shooting simply means there were at least two or three victims. That could be a drive by, gang wars, ECT. The media does what it's good at. They use trigger words that put fear into people and serial killer is not as scary by today's standards. You are probably more likely to be a victim in a mass shooting than a victim of a serial killer. At least I would assume.
