The accident occurred at the intersection of Niños Héroes and Juan C. Bonilla streets, where neighbors alerted emergency services after witnessing the impact.
Paramedics and Civil Protection personnel arrived at the scene, provided immediate care to the minor, and transported him to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. Although the severity of the injuries has not yet been officially reported, witnesses said the minor was left lying on the pavement after the accident.
The area was cordoned off by the municipal police to facilitate rescue efforts and speed up traffic, which was affected for several minutes. The driver allegedly involved in the accident was detained to determine responsibility.
Authorities urged motorists and pedestrians to exercise extreme caution in the area, as it is a busy intersection with heavy traffic.
