What an amazing performance by Burt Lancaster, especially the scene when he describes to the warden the definition of rehabilitation. Great movie and based on actual events. What he managed to do with a thrid grade education was remarkable.

Really ? I saw it as a very young kid and it really confused me more then anything. I thought then, were the he'll is this place? And how do they get away with this shit. Lol

Look, when ever you think a movie is bad, just watch 5 minutes of Dumb and Dumber Too. Worst movie ever, actually cringed and felt embarrassed with those dry as fuck jokes.

A gun deal goes bad. Simple as that, entertaining shoot out ensues.
Would i watch it again, probably not, but it is good for a first watch.

Ryuzo and His Seven Henchmen. Japan. 2015.
A old yakuza reteams with his mates. Familar plot line, they bumble around, get into a 'turf war' with some corporate gangsters, one gets killed and they go, kinda, all out on them.
It was funny but kinda fell away in the middle.

Gojiam: Haunted asylum. South Korea. 8/10
A 'found footage' style film. A group goes to an abandonded asylum to live stream a horror web series.
No soundtrack and a good use of mutiple cameras. The effects and scares are well done and the plot is simple but very effective.

I have the DVD, though i haven't seen it for years on purpose as it's such a good film, i'm gonna watch it soon, i have the 2 DVD version with extras.
I saw Jackie Brown recently after not seeing it for years also, it's a bloody good film, underrated by some as it isn't as violent as the preceding first two films by Tarantino.

Traffic. 2000.
A balanced account of the 'drug war'. Not as gung-ho and one sided as Scarico. The numourous storylines didn't actually come together in the end, but showed the different realities of what happens, and that no-one really wins.
