The opening of the border from East to West Berlin.
A border post in East Germany is confronted with the people turning up in huge numbers after it's said there will be free travel to the West. A humourous film about the events in 1989 when the Berlin wall fell. The humour is the fact that they are utter professionals in their duty to 'protect' the border but the commander is unable to get any kind of order of what to do from the officials above him.
The way the pressures increases on the main character and his calm unbreakable manner make for the films funnier moments.
No english subtitles.

Crime thiller with a healthy dose of violence.
With a run time of three hours it's a bit a slog, but the storyline is told carefully and fully laid out. There are a few main characters with others attached to each of them. Typical for a S.K. thriller, the are lots of twists. Slow but never boring.
