movies Last Movie You Watched..

Apocalypse Now is truly great. I like how slow-paced it is. It takes forever for Brando to show up but once he does, the wait is so worth it. I love the idea of an "insane" Col. going rogue from the Army and just doing his own thing. Kurtz became sort of a cult leader. You know the part where they kill the cow? Was that real? I've always wondered about that. I think its probably real because they didn't have CGI back then. It looks real as hell to me. What do you think?
Like Cat said it's real, there was a little bit of controversy over it at the time.

I doubt it would be allowed to be shown without a massive hoo harr now

If someone tried to put it in a movie now, PETA would assassinate everyone involved. Or at least pitch a bitch like they always do about shit. Nowadays CGI would be used for a scene like that.

Just watched 'Prometheus'! In a word...disappointed! People have criticised it's confusing plot. I found it easy but stupid. Aliens create us, then have a re-think only to be thwarted by their own hubris!
And regardless of what's been said, it IS a prequel to the Alien franchise! It pretty much tells how the 'Space Jockey' come to be!
Special effects were good, acting was OK, just the story sucked!

Gradually ploughing through the box set of Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren. Well not with her, she's not here, she stars in it, having her here would be nice though.

It was on T.V yesterday evening and I lost interest after 15 minutes, why do American movies of that genre almost always have to have a fucking feel good ending? :rambo:
May I suggest The Thin Red Line, it came out the same time as Saving Private Ryan, that movie is good and a antidote to that sappy ending movie that is SPR(don't get me wrong I like SPR, but it was sappy at the end)

happy thanksgiving

Watched the watch was actually a lot funnier then I thought it was going to be
