The mother ran away with the boy after her father, who lives in Acre, near Peru, lost custody five years ago.
After committing the grizzly murder, and stabbing him a dozen times, the pair reportedly botched the attempt to hide the body.
They bungled burning some of him on a barbecue, so stuffed some of his remains in a suitcase and dumped them in a sewer, according to police.
Other body parts were hidden in two backpacks at the couple's home.
They have both confessed to the killing and face homicide, torture and concealing a corpse charges.
The two women are said to have told investigators they used 'rudimentary tools' because Rhuan 'wanted to become a girl'.

Sometimes, I think that we as humans do not even deserve the love and innocence that children give to us. This is a boy, that even if he had been rescued by authorities before his untimely fate, would have remained steadfastly loyal and supportive of the "mother" who had tortured and abused him all along. I have a friend who works for CPS and she had told me of more than one occasion where police had been dispatched to a house where a young boy or girl had been starved, beaten, burned with cigarette butts, and pimped out for sex with multiple men, and when the cops tried to take the children away, they would scream and cry for them not to hurt their parents... The same ones who had subjected these children to this treatment. The children actually thought that the suffering that they were forced to endure had been completely normal and a part of life, and thus even in court, they continued trying to defend the monsters who had tortured them.
