When I was a kid we'd dig a hole about 3' deep, line it with coal briquettes, push a steel pipe down into the base of the hole and then attach mum's hair dryer to the pipe. We got an incandescent glow going. Wonderful stuff. In later years we tried a SCUBA tank and really got a breeze going!I was a firebug when I was a kid, but I was smart. I'm really good with fire as an adult. Nothing beats those youthful interactions with the beast of all. Lol
I spent my whole life hoping I could feel better about the shit I did as a kid. I still don't, but your cremation bird make me feel better. As wild as my exploits were, no feathers or fur were involved. When I was a kid we'd dig a hole about 3' deep, line it with coal briquettes, push a steel pipe down into the base of the hole and then attach mum's hair dryer to the pipe. We also made dams in the sand pit and blew them up with crackers, Dam Busters style...
And we'd find dead birds and bring them back to put on top of little 'cremation' fires in the fire place in our home. And sometimes added Sunday church music from the radio to add to the show.
I was always destined for Gorgrish...

Grandma ran to the next town and his parent smacked him in the head.🤣🤣
