A butcher died after being stabbed by his co-worker at a market in Novaliches this past Tuesday.

Based on CCTV footage of the market, the victim and a man wearing a red hat sitting on the side were talking.

A few moments later, the suspect who was behind the victim took a knife and stabbed him.

It seems that other people just watched the incident from the sidelines.

The 39-year-old victim died after receiving 8 stab wounds to the side and neck.

According to QCPD's preliminary investigation, the victim first had a drink with the suspect along with other people at the market.

It is said that the victim had a misunderstanding over drinking which angered the suspect.

He stabbed the victim one after another until the suspect dropped the knife and ran away from the scene of the crime.

He was also caught yesterday after hiding in his boss' house in Norzagaray, Bulacan.

The suspect's defense is that he only preceded the victim when he looked at him badly during an altercation at a drinking establishment.
