Years ago, i was on the Brooklyn Bridge with family when my boy's new electric toy car went off the walkway and fell far below, getting stuck in the iron works. Well, he was beside himself, but i convinced him to chill, as i promised i'd get it for him, but he'd need to wait till tomorrow (good life lesson).

So the next day, a Sunday, he and i returned with a fishing rod and hook. In no time at all, he had the car again. Yet again, daddy saved the day. I even got a small round of applause from people, obviously with plenty of time and nothing to do, that had gathered around us.
