A 32-year-old man identified as Ali, a resident of Cikoro Village in the Tompobulu district of Gowa, South Sulawesi province, Indonesia, was killed by a mob after being accused of raping and assaulting a young woman with a disability. The population, outraged by the crime, found him on the border between the villages of Rappoala and Rappolemba.

According to residents, Ali was brutally beaten and, already unconscious, was tied up and dragged for approximately five kilometers from Rappolemba to the Cikoro area. The scene was recorded by locals, who filmed him being pulled by a motorcycle and shared the images on social media.

The head of the village of Rappolemba reported that residents were shocked by the violence and the distance the body was dragged. According to reports, Ali was already dead when he continued to be dragged by the vehicle.

Police reported that the situation in the region is under control, with reinforcements from local authorities, religious and community leaders to prevent further clashes.
