music MTV is shutting down their music channels after 40yrs

I remember watching the entire American MTV on satellite in the 90s, there was a lot of rap music and a lot of unlistenable European pop music, then later they stopped it and now they broadcast some European MTV shit mixed with some American shows like the British Jersey Shore which is a bunch of idiots with all kinds of silicone and tattooed whores and sexy boys with no brain swollen from steroids and you can understand two sentences of the whole show, they are probably spinning from cocaine and they speak with such an incomprehensible regional accent, or the American Ridiculousness which makes no sense and the host is also a good question why is he dressed like a 13 year old ghetto black kid when he is 51 year old white, but it is very difficult to understand American culture in many areas.
It would be a problem if MTV were to stop because in many countries there is no music TV at all, the German Viva also stopped broadcasting in many countries, I don't even know if there is even a German music TV in Germany at all
Of course from commercial zero music apart from that, there was basically good music sometimes on MTV or European German Viva, for now there is still MTV, Viva is not in its prime, but I specifically watched a lot and there was even Club Rotation on Viva TV 20 years ago when they went to all kinds of clubs for 1 hour every Saturday night, they broadcast that, at the same time I also went to have fun every weekend
Radio will remain if MTV goes away, although this is not entirely likely.

TLDR :spazzprice:

I remember watching a lot of music videos on MTV Italia when I was a teen... which still exists, but people have to pay to watch it now... (not 100% sure, I left Italy more than 10 years ago).
But yes, same as the others: used to be a good music channel, but reality crap ruined it.

Yes, my son: I think you've smoked your brains out in the last 20 years.
Then go snort half a kilo of cocaine and wash it down with half a barrel of whiskey, then smoke a marijuana cigarette and preferably go out with the always on sale AR15 and shoot a few into the crowd as is normal American custom and then in court, play innocent with a golden crucifix, so you don't get a lethal injection. hahaha

Not because I didn't watch the German Viva but the foreign broadcasts, usually only the German Berlin Love Parade was broadcast live from the German side, but SAT1, RTL, ZDF etc. were available regardless of that
These are the ones I usually watched
Schwarzwalder Klinik, Ehrens Des Guldenburgs,Regina auf den Stufen,Derrick,Tatort,Komissar Rex,Die Rote Meile,Tutti Frutti Party, Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl,Nils Holgerson,Sechs auf einen Streich/Acht auf einen Streich

Kristiane Backer was host of MTV Europe, like Ray Cokes, Rebecca De Ruvo, Steve Blame, not to forget Simone Angel (MTV Partyzone)
Where you`re from?
You watched the same series as me... Die Schwarzwaldklinik, Das Erbe der Guldenburgs and Pumuckl of course aso

I don't know any of the presenters I'm Hungarian, I only watched the broadcast here, and it was not German, it was Hungarian, with Hungarian presenters, not Germans.
Simone Angel has a fairly German face compared to Dutch, she only has minimal Dutch origins, but I don't even remember her
I know these names from the German media: Anke Engelke, Thomas Gottschalk, Harald Schmidt, Stefan Raab, Hans Zimmer, DAMAE, Verona Feldbusch, Heidi Klum, Friedrich Merz, Sarah Connor, Til Schweiger,Simone Panteleit,Karen Heinrichs
I know more faces from the German or Austrian side, but these are all that suddenly come to mind now
