Always a good move to build your shack in a funnel at the base of a mountain.

Sad part is the simple act of planting long-rooted vegetation could have mitigated this substantially. The dirt is there because there use to be a forest there, but they cut down all the trees and built houses. Then as the roots of the trees began to rot away the soil loosened from the bedrock and collapsed down the mountain.
