My 90-Day Apple+ Free Trial Review.

I've never owned an Apple product of any kind, yet Xbox offered me a 90-day free trial of Apple+ yesterday.

I like freebies and so far I'm not disappointed. So far I have watched:

  • The Gorge (Movie) - Featuring Anya Taylor-Joy, Sigourney Weaver and Miles Teller, it's about two elite snipers who are ordered to guard a deep gorge without knowing what lies inside. I enjoyed it. 7/10
  • Finch (Movie) - Starring Tom Hanks, a dog and a robot. The story follows an aging man named Finch, a survivor in a now nearly uninhabitable Earth, who builds and teaches a robot to take care of his dog when he dies. 8/10
  • Silo (Series) - I'm on the fourth episode of the first season. Set in a dystopian future where a community exists in a giant underground silo comprising 144 levels, it stars Rebecca Ferguson as an engineer who becomes embroiled in the mysteries of its past and present. So far, it's held my interest but it's too early to rate. Tentatively a 7/10.

I’ve been thinking of watching the Gorge will give it a go. Finch seemed to go under the radar but I thought it was pretty good.
I think you'll like The Gorge. I would have rated it higher if there'd been a bit more backstory development.

It's the kind of film that deserved another half hour run time. I can easily see a sequel, or even a prequel to that film.

How could there be a sequel? (Not gunna say why to spoil it) and didn’t it tell you enough about the gorge and how it came into existence?

Not in my opinion, but others might find it sufficient.

As far as a sequel goes, I'm imagining (SPOILER ALERT!) the explosion at the end has the opposite effect. Instead of destroying everything, the creatures return infused with even greater power.

The Gorge has got to be the most fucking stupidest film ever made.

I can recommend a much better film. It's called "Your Mother's A Whore." If you can't find it online, ask your mom for an autographed copy.

On second thought, you've probably seen that one hundreds of times. Maybe try "Forrest Gump". You'll identify with the protagonist very well.

Yeah I'll keep an eye out for it.
In the meantime why don't you go and butt fuck your grandma again.

Lol slant eyed...
It's all good just banter.
I know, lol.
The way I figured it is this:

drink, drank
stink, stank
Chink, Chank

This logic is flawless. Chank is the past tense of Chink. Ergo, a Chank is a dead Chink.

You hear that @Lord Gutsy ?

Henceforth, dead Chinks are Chanks. Make it so!

I ain't no fucking chink, if I was I would feature on here giving you gang of twats a good old laugh at my hilarious fucking demise!!

Day Two:

  • Greyhound - Starring Tom Hanks. The film is based on the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd by C. S. Forester, and follows a US Navy commander on his first assignment commanding a multi-national escort destroyer group of four, defending an Allied convoy from U-boats during the Battle of the Atlantic. The film also stars Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan, and Elisabeth Shue. I haven't finished watching it, I'm about halfway through. So far, it reminds me of the many historical Naval war vessel movies most of you have probably seen. Somewhat bland thus far. 5/10 for now.
  • Cherry - Starring Tom Holland and gorgeous Ciara Bravo. The film follows the life of Cherry, from a college student to a PTSD-afflicted veteran who robs banks to pay for his and his wife's drug addiction. Also haven't completely finished watching this one, but it's riveting, suspenseful and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it ends. 9/10 for now.

Day Five:

Since Day Two I've not watched much television. However, I did begin watching The Studio. It's a comedy series created by Seth Rogen and appearances by many well-known celebrities.

The premise is (Seth Rogen as) Matt Remick is the newly appointed head of the film production company Continental Studios. He attempts to save the floundering company in an industry undergoing rapid social and economic changes.

On Rotten Tomatoes, The Studio has an approval rating of 95% based on 92 reviews, with an average rating of 8.4/10. The website's critics consensus reads, "Savvy enough to impress even the most studious of film buffs, The Studio fights the good fight for a better Hollywood while eliciting huge laughs at its expense." Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, gave the series a score of 80 out of 100, based on 35 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews"

So far, it's held my interest and it's genuinely funny. There are currently ten episodes in the first season, the final episode will air May 21st. Whether or not there are more seasons afterwards is unknown. If this is a clever ploy by Apple+ to sucker me into eventually subscribing with my credit card, they can suck a dick. The Pirate Bay is still alive and well, motherfuckers.

watching television is for morons and do-nothings...almost anything else is a better choice to spend your day...they don't call it the Boob Tube for nothing
