Well he has a uniform on. It makes him look atleast like he has had some training hopefully & past some sort of physical exam but, "expert" in rescue? MERP.
There's a shadier hand possibly being played as she is the mistress of a wealthy government agent. In China, the life expectamcies of some of these mistresses & second+ wives, concubines, is shorter than if they were involved with other men. They have been murdered, even blown up.
