Not meant to have a motorcycle

The reason I stayed away from bikes for 20 years was because of fear. The feeling of riding, and the smells, and temperature changes. you get in the morning and early evening from wooded areas are refreshing. That riding bug bit me in the spring, and I could not resist to try it again. With all the fancy safety equipment we have now, I thought even if I fall I will be ok.
I even took a safety course and went to track school because I knew people were getting hurt on this bike because of the power. Plus I needed some training since this bike is crazy powerful, and I have not ridden for 20 years. Track school was a blast if you ever get the chance.

When you’re sitting at a traffic light and a 4000 pound car hits you. the official speed from the police (18 mph) you are still just a few hundred pounds wrapped in leather. I didn’t get hurt, just a few small bruises. . The bike got pushed into the intersection getting run over partially by a 18 wheeler and a car.
This time it feels like the universe is telling me to stick with cars. The fear monster won thus time. Never again for me. If you ride enjoy it. I’m too afraid to ever do this again.
A few hundred pounds wrapped in leather? How obese are you?!

I drove a motorcycle for many years and so did two friends of mine . Within one week one friend got wrapped around a telephone pole and lost several organs, the other slipped in some gravel and crushed his foot and ankle. I never rode a bike again . fear is a very powerful thing and some will disagree with me but its not a question of if you will have a accident but when👍 I.agree with your decision 😉
I also had one many years ago and hit gravel which sent me bouncing alomg the road and a few weeks later it was an ice patch I hit with the same result. not too much damage to the body apart from cuts and bruises and a very sore hip but that was it for me I sold the fucker right after the second spill. You don.t have to be doing anything stupid to get fucked up when motor biking.

Not doing something stupid is the worst thing. 20 years ago I fell in a turn. Those squiggly line road patches are slippery. That’s why I stayed away from bikes for so long. This time I was stopped at a traffic light. I am calling it quits now.
Hitting an ice patch. You must really love riding to be out in the cold like that.

I guess you could call riding in the cold doing something stupid but it didn't seem that cold and it was dry, it was just my luck that I found probably what was the only patch of black ice around. Then again maybe it was something else I hit. I did spin the car not too long ago when I left a motorway service station and hit a patch of diesel on the roundabout, doing that on a bike could also be a disaster.

That's a fairly low speed crash, you could have been riding a scooter and suffered the same fate. If you crashed blowing a red light at 220kmh fuck yeah that's pretty bad, but you didn't. Experience aside that sounds like a situation outside your control - you weren't riding like a fucking idiot - more like someone was driving like a fucking idiot. I started riding pee-wee 50's and dirt bikes on farms here as soon as my feet could touch the ground so I've grown up looking at motorbikes like someone would with a skateboard, it's just a fun means of transport. You should buy a cheap dirtbike and hit the trails for some recreational riding, nothing stupid just enjoy the ride without the worry. Your confidence will return.

hes too scared to even get a vespa. he might be better off with a schwinn. even they have their own lane.
Those step-through things are actually involved in more fatalities than normal motorbikes. Not sure if that's because there's more of them or not...

Glad you're alive. Did you at least tear a strip off the dumb cunt that hit you?
She was a new driver and was texting! Under 21, texting while driving I think the license gets revoked.
I had frame sliders on the bike and it slid across the road like a puck on ice. The insurance adjuster won’t look at the bike til Tuesday, but I’m pretty sure it’s totally destroyed. The fire department was cleaning gasoline and coolant from the road. I didn’t get a good look but I did see 2 large pieces of my R1 loaded on the tow truck. The front tire is squashed.

I don’t even want a motorcycle any more. That accident took all the fun away. I hope it’s a total loss. I rather just get a check and and walk away.

Insurance adjuster today said the bike suffered catastrophic damage beyond repair. Major frame and engine damage. Front and back tires not repairable. I was told I would be getting a check , minus a few hundred dollars.
The insurance company will do subjugation with the at fault party for the rest so I get reimbursed in full plus the ambulance ride, hospital bills and riding safety gear. I already have a lawyer for the pain and suffering. CT scan came back good, so maybe looking at $50,000 minus the 33 1/3% for the bruises from the accident. The at fault party offered $20,000 to settle. They also know the driver was texting.

I haven’t been on a motorcycle in 20 years. They have definitely become incredibly fast. The motorcycle that I thought was fast way back then, is slow by today’s standards.

In the spring, I bought a Yamaha R1. This monster is literally A jet airplane that does not fly. I put about 500 miles on it during the summer being really careful. I started to get really good. It felt like a part of me in the turns I’ve just enjoyed the summer with it. It really brought a smile to my face.

I have all the fancy leather equipment, the jacket with the spine protector gloves, racing boots, Shoei helmet the works. I know what you’re thinking. I went too fast in a turn or did something stupid and got into a really bad accident.

I’m not more than 5 miles from my house sitting at a traffic light. A 17-year-old girl on her phone slammed into me. Luckily, the speed limit was only 30 and I think she was only doing about 20 when she hit me. I came up on the hood. My helmet hit her windshield and smashed it. I was also on my back. I didn’t really get very hurt from it just a little bit sore and a few small bruises. The leather has some deep gashes on it from the window and I’m sure the helmet probably is not reusable. from the impact,
I’m on the ground near where the bike was, and she pushed the motorcycle all the way into the intersection. An 18 wheeler and a few cars ended up running it over. It is definitely totaled.
I think this time I am not going get any more motorcycles. I was just trying to feel young, and have a little fun. I enjoy my sports car, but it is just not the same. I definitely understand the thrill of a motorcycle but I am way too scared to get on a new bike.
Ffs loser please stay off this great site and go bore your friends with your shite stories.......ahhh forgot pathetic arseholes like you don't have friends.

I retract my previous gesture of goodwill. On reflection & review of your additional posts I've concluded you're a lying jizz bucket and the story never happened.

I think you fell off your scooter and bruised your knees (I'm sure it made your sucking cock painful). I'm not happy you're alive and it would be better for goregrish, and the planet, if you were to eat a bullet.

Also if you took some motorcycle course with a professional you might feel more confident again?
