Meet The Shoebill Stork



These birds typically produce the clattering sound, not unlike a machine gun, with their bills - either as a greeting or as part of the mating ritual. (Other storks too, for instance the well known white stork, with its black markings, red long bill and red legs also engages in bill clattering, as a social and courtship routine.)
