Six Baltimore officers fire more than 70 shots at a man during a carjacking pursuit, fatally shooting him after he reached for a replica BB gun.
Six officers firing over 70 rounds at 42-year-old Maurice Daniels during a July 5 pursuit tied to an armed carjacking. Daniels initially had his hands up but then dropped his right hand toward what officers believed was a gun. An officer yelled “Gun!” and police opened fire.
Investigators later recovered a replica BB gun from the vehicle that was designed to look like a real handgun.
