I had a similar situation once while innocently walking through a parking lot with my friend. In that case, an undercover cop tried to sell me drugs while his crewcut buddy sat in the car with a microphone in his hand. It was irritating.
Why would cops waste time and try to get some random person to buy drugs? There's no win. They want to find people who are selling drugs.

The question is reasonable, but I can't answer it. I was walking across a parking lot to a restaurant with my friend, when a smiling black man jumped out of a car with Thai stick in his hand. I recognized it from a Cheech and Chong movie. He tried desperately to sell me a small piece of it for $5. Still seated in the car was another officer. He had a buzz cut, had his head down, and I'm pretty sure that was a microphone in his hand that he was holding up to his mouth.

It didn't make any sense because we were minding our own business. I don't care if you believe it or not - it doesn't change what happened.

I was also contacted several times via social media, back when I first started to use it. I was on a website called tagworld.com when someone posing as an underage girl contacted me and started to write to me about sex. I scolded that person I told them to leave me alone. That was another example of me minding my own business when an undercover cop started to fuck with me, trying to entrap me. It made no sense, it was aggressive and offensive, and clearly not good police work.

Friend, I think that you live in your own imaginary world in which you believe that cops don't do things like that. A truly talented, intelligent officer would not stoop that low, but not all of them are smart.
