I read that in a book I wrote onceYes, she went into a flat tail spin - no recovery from that. And it did a nice belly flop too...

Info from a pilot who has flown this plane (Denys Davydov)
"A [super] deep stall spin in an ATR-72 occurs when the aircraft enters a high angle of attack, typically during low-speed flight phases like takeoff or landing, causing a stall.
In this situation, the aircraft's nose remains pitched unusually high, and the wings stay in a stalled condition.
Due to the design of the ATR-72, particularly its T-tail configuration, the horizontal stabilizer can become blanketed by turbulent airflow from the wings, making recovery difficult or impossible, leading to a dangerous and often unrecoverable spin."
They all said the same funnily enoughIt was older and had props. It's like an old bus with wings. They don't last forever.
I flew only once in a prop plane, not jet engines, & it was scary. Never again!
Is that the plane after? 😂Vinhedo, Sao Paulo, Brazil

There are a number of other vids, seems everyone had their phones out, and I'm sure more will come. I'll pop up some images once some half descent ones are available.

I'm talking about commercial aviation, not private
😂 You mean, as they were told to buckle up, put their heads between their legs and assume the crash position as well as kiss their asses goodbye? I don't doubt it.They all said the same funnily enough
Imagine going to bed and a plane landing on you 😂Vinhedo, Sao Paulo, Brazil
