Called a "boneshaker" bike, very English, from the Victorian era.
When I RACED BMX as a kid we had one on display at the bike store I raced for. Boss was originally FROM Italy.
I started with a 1969 Mattel Stallion at ten yo, and had all the cool stuff: DG, Red Line, Cheetah, FMF-Laguna, and lastly and never least, an "Emory" from the east coast.
Today, all I have/need is my '99 Specialized "Hard Rock" mountain bike. It's a VERY LAST gen, 20th century mountain bike with no carbon fiber components nor disc brakes.
