A plainclothes police officer was ambushed by two criminals as he was getting into his van in Villa Ballester. The officer drew his weapon and shot them. One of the robbers died, and the other fled the scene.
The officer was shot twice but is out of danger. He was one of the bodyguards for the family of Araceli Fulles, the 22-year-old woman found murdered in 2017 under rubble in a house in José León Suárez.
