That's what I was saying the other week in one of my posts when I was saying that Russia is now on the same level as North Korea as a puppet of China. He's emulating what the Kims have been doing for the past several decades now.

Russia has so destroyed it's own economy and military, and it's military has proven to be such a shit show of a laughing stock, even if they do militarily "defeat" Ukraine, Russia still ultimately loses. Period. It's such a shit show, that the rest of the world now understands fully that it doesn't need Russia. Russia understands fully that the rest of the world doesn't need them. It's a pariah state that everyone else can just simply ignore just like we do with NK.

Putin hates the inattention, and so now acts like a spoiled fucking child. Acts just like the Kims. He just blathers on, hoping to Garner some sort of attention and/or respect that it can never have ever again.

There is at least one incident in Soviet history that shows a younger man in his 30s, perhaps with even younger children running around at home with his wife, isn't going to listen to anyone in their 70s that is hell-bent on blowing up the entire planet.

Young men who are soldiers running off to war to be slaughtered under the orders of a 70 year old elderly jackass is one thing. But those who are ACTUALLY in control the nuclear arsenal who are typically in their late 20s through perhaps their 50s; are no longer too young to be that stupid, nor too old to not care about the helpless children that they themselves in all likelihood have at home with their own hopes and dreams they profess to their fathers every night when they tuck them in bed.

In other words, a 32 year old with a 10 year old child at home is NOT going to want to obey a rickety and crotchety old grandfather that's going to kick the bucket relatively shortly anyway no matter what, that would result in their child dying a horrific death, or perhaps somehow surviving in a living nightmare of a devastated planet.

If you're a maniacal dictator in your 70s, you know you're not mortal. You're going to die fairly soon anyway. What's it matter to you what happens to the world when you're gone?

Unfortunately, Russia DOES possess enough of a nuclear arsenal to make the world into a living nightmare for any who may survive the aftermath. And we do not have enough anti-missle systems in t place in the right locations, and the ammunition they need, to intercept every nuclear missile if they decide to fire a bunch simultaneously. And even if we do intercept any, there's a good chance we would set off the nuclear detonation device for an atmospheric EMP burst that would destroy all electronics over the area where it occurred, then rain down a shitload of radiation over a very wide area. With the winds carrying it even further afield.

But yeah. If not for nukes, the US could destroy Russia inside of a month. Hell, Germany by itself could destroy Russia inside of a year.

The whole world has been sending arms, money, mercenaries and economically trying to devestate Russia for 2 years, and Russia is currently taking back territory and winning. But Germany can take them. Lol.

all of civilisation? Get a grip. If Russia and NATO nuke the shit out of each other, human life will continue..... in Argentina, South Africa, Australia/New Zealand, and most of the Pacific Isles - basically, the southern hemisphere. It won't be pretty, but it'll be life.

I’m aware humanity itself would almost certainly survive. The reduction in nuclear weapons over the decades only helps that case, but it was even assumed during peak nuclear proliferation in the 80s that humanity would survive. I am talking about civilization as we know it- It would end. The civilizations that emerge from the ashes of a nuclear holocaust probably wouldn’t resemble what we think when we hear the word civilization. We would be thrust back into the dark ages, and I would imagine the ones who succeed in bringing any sort of centralization back to their country would opt for something akin to feudalism considering the inability to trade globally, or likely trade beyond their immediate neighbors. They would have to be essentially self-reliant, and feudalism would be a good remedy for countries in that situation.
