sounds nice and I did make the sauce! very easy to make too!

well the dough : add 1 cup of very hot water (but not boiling or else you will kill the live yeast) 1 package of fast rising yeast 1 table spoon of olive oil 1tablespoon of sugar mix that in with the hot water stir and let it sit for about 10 min. after that take 2 cups of flour mix it in with the yeast mixture it should have bubbled and risen a bit. then mix in a 1/2 cup more of flour kneed until you have a solid dough ball rub about one tsp, of olive oil and later your dough ball in it.. then set in a large bowl seran wrap tight away from any drafts (your dough will rise about 2 x's its size) for 1 hour.

sauce I use stewed tomatoes and i bring them to a boil I set a side some of the juice smash them and if you want it a bit thicker than you can add a tablespoon of tomato paste i add minced garlic parsley a tiny bit oregano salt to taste.. set it aside let it cool

Oh, you use stewed tomatoes. That's nifty. garlic...goood goood. Dough, I've had so many issues. I can make commercial pizza dough from a 50lb bag of four, but at home I've had so many issues. Then I discovered the other night my yeast was 3 years old! I was trying to make soft pretzels. As you can see they are a little flat.
Thank you thank you soooo much for taking the time to share.! I do appreciate this. I'll post pics of my first home pie. :):):)

this is so quick and easy and tastes awesome!!

banoffee pie! a calorie and sugar overload, but with one of your 5 a day!

for the base
250g digestives (i sometimes use gingernut biscuits)
100g of butter

for the caramel
a tin of condensed milk
100g butter
100g soft brown sugar

bananas
whipped cream
a flake to crumble on the top

bash biscuits up and stir into the melted butter and put in a loose bottom tin and push down firmly with the back of a spoon, then chill in fridge for an hr. (if you are really lazy just by a ready made sweet biscuit case!) for the caramel melt the butter and sugar in a pan, then add the condensed milk and bring to the boil, boil for about a minute or so then pour into the biscuit case then put back in the fridge to cool.(i have noticed you can by a ready made tin of caramel for ultimate laziness!) once cool arrange slices of banana on the the top of the caramel then top with whipped cream and decorated with a crumbled flake and voila!!

this is a google image just to give you an idea of the result!

Dude(ette), are you spying on me? I made this Friday night, gobbled it on Saturday. Didn't use Heath bits, that would have been too awesome. :p

my daddy favorite dish is chicken masala, an Indian food

1 whole chicken (3 lbs.)
2 med. yellow onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2" piece of ginger, minced
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp. yellow mustard seeds
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 tsp. turmeric
3" stick cinnamon
2 c. chicken stock
2 tbsp. curry powder
1 tsp. gharum masala
1 c. coconut milk (opt.)

Cut the chicken into pieces and brown in oil. Remove and add chopped onion. Saute until tender. Add garlic and ginger, make sure there is enough oil so that nothing sticks. Add cumin and mustard seed. Fry until the mustard seeds begin to "pop". Add the turmeric and curry powder and stir constantly to prevent any sticking. Stir the "paste" until the curry powder becomes fragrant; this usually takes 1 to 2 minutes (be careful not to burn the curry powder). Add the chopped tomatoes and stir until they form a sauce (3-4 minutes). Add the chicken broth, cinnamon stick and chicken. Cover and simmer until chicken is cooked (approximately 45 minutes). Stir in the gharaum masala and serve with white rice.
If you want a smoother, Malay style curry, add the coconut milk with the chicken broth.
