I went to England in November 2017 to, among other things, visit Ozzy's childhood home/the birthplace of Black Sabbath and therefore the birthplace of metal. Birmingham. Met some fine folks as we spectated a stabbing and they asked if I was from New York because of my accent, I replied nope, Toronto. About 6 people at once, in thick Brummie accents, went "Why in the fuck did you come to Birmingham? Go home now mate" .
