Serious question about heroin

Seen too many people end up losing everything, selling their furniture, even the bed they sleep in, sell themselves even for money to buy hard drugs. I’m glad I saw this at a young age so it put me off. I don’t even drink alcohol, a nice spliff or a chillum pipe is enough for me. Allot of heroin addicts wish they never touched it in the first place so they’ve told me. Interesting post and comments.

I just read about some drug mule dying because one of the 100 plus condoms full of it he swallowed burst inside him. I have never taken any drugs myself, except for weed around my uni years, and I once had strong cocodamols for a torn ligament. They made me feel pretty nice...kinda all cosy and comfy. They turned my poops into concrete tho so i preferred the ankle pain. But when you see people in documentaries etc, when they do heroin it looks like they're having a really out of it moment.. So.. the question is, would a drug smuggler with a burst inside him have a lovely death or would they feel ill and realise what was happening and be scared. I'm sure a few of you druggy types on here have overdosed and lived etc..

A condom of unadulterated heroin rupturing in one's stomach would put them right to sleep. They would feel the effects of the drug for a couple of seconds tops before they fell soundly to sleep. I wouldn't call it a "lovely death", but it is certainly a painless one for the individual. To those viewing the overdose, well, they certainly wouldn't call it a lovely death. However, for the dying, there would be no fear involved in the process. No regrets either. Having once been a heroin addict (for fourteen years), I cannot recall ever feeling fear or regret while sufficiently high. The drug's effects powerfully nullify the body's ability to produce sensations like fear and regret. That is partially what makes opiates so wonderfully and deliciously insidious: you can only help but feel good - exceptionally good actually - and calm under their effects; and any fucked up shit you may do while high never ever feels as bad as it actually may be. The only time fear and regret become part of the equation is when you run out of dope and know withdrawal will soon be setting in.

I disagree wholeheartedly with the first part of this sentence, but the second part regarding blindness intrigues me. I have never ever heard of this happening. Could you elaborate on why this may result from eating heroin? Is this a known effect of orally ingesting opiates, like opium tea, for example?

I've never used myself but I watched a good friend of mine OD on heroin to death. I couldn't save her with CPR and it took paramedics about 30 minutes to get there. She didn't really do much... just kinda gasped for air every now and then, turned blue all over, then kinda convulsed but not really like a hard convulsion like you see with seizures. After CPR for a while, she start gurgling and making choking sounds, so figuring she was going to throw up, I turned her on her side.. I don't think she actually threw up but this foul smelling weird looking.. well I'm not sure it was drool like saliva but for lack of better word, she was drooling it. Her pulse beats were far between and very weak. Paramedics said by the time I got to her, CPR wouldn't have helped anyway. One of the worst days of my life. We were supposed to meet up for a show but she stopped responding, when I went in, I found her slumped over with a needle still in her arm.

Thank you for sharing this, it must have been so awful witnessing this, and I send you my sympathy... but you helped my curious mind. I often have these weird 'shower thoughts' but they are usually things like what would happen if everyone on earth jumped at the exact same time... But after seeing this blokes guts it just set my mind wandering, as to what happens to the mule.

I've overdosed on heroin, feels a bit like nice pins and needles all over your head then falling back from sitting to lying down on a bed felt like being wrapped in a warm towel, next thing I knew I was in the ambulance.

I'd imagine the mule would have too much stomach pain and be repetitively vomiting to enjoy any kinda high for those last few minutes before unconsciousness.

You always surprise me, you seem so put together, with your intelligent humour. I just can't see you being like this. in my head you're Jeremy Clarkson, a loveable clever man but can be a right twat. I have a soft spot for you. Not in a way I want to see your dick tho.. I just want to cook your tea for you and buy you a nice thick sweater so you don't get a chill.

Apologies for the misunderstanding, by 'lovely death' I meant, would the mule pass in a nice happy stat not giving a shit because he felt nice. Obviously its a different story for anyone having to witness it.

You can take Prunes and/or Exlax for the concrete doo doos. Heroin feels like a full body orgasm with itchiness and upset stomach. Ive never OD’d but i did go unconscious for a while and its wasnt unpleasant i just woke up and was like whoa go easier. In other word the person may have some symptoms that would otherwise be bothersome but the pure orgasmic pleasure of the high would make the person not care. Im curious , did it say in the store how long it took the the guy to die?

If they were smuggling heroin they would probably start o.d.ing before they even realize anything. Now if it was cocaine or meth, it would be totally different, still lethal, but it would affect them in a much different way.

It's not guaranteed to kill you. For one thing heroin has a short half life of 30min(this is how long the effects last). The second is that your stomach acid would dilute and even break down some of it making part ineffective. Heroin is just a really strong pain reliever derived from morphine. The worst part is that it probably wouldn't kill you but it would cause you to go blind since your ocular and spinal nerves would absorb most of the chemicals. You would also be vomiting and shitting yourself. The way it would kill you would be by you passing out and having an apnea attack. Just like the ones that people have with sleep apnea except your body wouldnt be able to jolt you awake so you start breathing again. There would be no pain. Your body would just suffocate itself while you were unconscious.

If you had multiple grams of heroin inside of your cavities and it burst open your totally dead, damn close to instantly. There's people that o.d and die just from touching it with their hands or breathing it in. That's why drug dealers wear gloves and respirator masks. It's extremely toxic and lethal.
