It's a truck..... they are normally quite visible, and loud. The fact she neither checked for anything coming until she stepped out, nor did she hear it come trundling down the street, resulted in a very merry impact indeed.
I hope she hasn't bred any offspring.... because stupidity like that is hereditary.
