You may have wondered what makes a sociopath exactly, and how to determine if somebody, including yourself, is one.
Better known as antisocial personality disorder (ASPD), those with the mental health condition can be considered sociopaths, or even psychopaths.
People with ASPD think differently to the majority of other people, as the condition affects how they perceive, feel, or relate to others.
It is a personality disorder that is characterised by impulsive, irresponsible behaviour according to the NHS, which adds that those with ASPD can be manipulative .
ASPD is on a spectrum, similar to other types of personality disorder, so it can range from occasional bad behaviour to breaking the law and committing crimes, in the most severe cases.
So, how do you determine if someone may have ASPD, and be a psychopath or sociopath?
First developed in the 1970s by Canadian psychologist Robert Hare, a clinician would interview the individual, scoring them against 20 questions.
They are done on a 3-point scale: 0 = Does not apply, 1 = Applies somewhat, and 2 = Definitely applies.
The scores are then totted up against a potential score of 40, and if you get above a certain number, you would be suspected to have ASPD.
Though normally carried out by a professional, you can have a go at home, at these following questions.
Having a sexually promiscuous past could be a sign of being a psychopath
Do you have 'excess glibness' or superficial charm?
Do you have a grandiose sense of self-worth
Do you have an excess need for stimulation or proneness to boredom?
Do you pathologically tell lies?
Are you conning or manipulative?
Do you display a lack of remorse or guilt?
Do you have 'shallow affect' (a condition that reduces a person's emotional reactivity)?
Are you callous, or do you lack empathy?
Do you live a 'parasitic lifestyle'?
Do you have poor behavioural controls?
Do you display promiscuous sexual behaviour?
Do you have a history of early behavioural problems?
Do you have a lack of realistic long-term goals?
Are you more impulsive than most?
Do you highly irresponsible?
Do you struggle or fail to accept responsibility for your own actions?
Have you had numerous short-term 'marital' relationships?
Do you have a history of juvenile delinquency?
Have you ever experienced a 'revocation of conditional release'?
Do you display 'criminal versatility'?
Early behavioural problems can indicate that you have ASPD
Time to tot up your scores - how did you do?
If you scored 30 or more out of 40, then there's a chance that you might be psychopath, or a sociopath
that's nice to know, but what did you score?Antisocial people generally don't like other people, they avoid crowds, they have few friends and acquaintances, but that doesn't mean they hurt others and they can't be called psychopaths
Maybe an exception is when they can get seriously irritated and become seriously aggressive if they are forced into a social situation on purpose, which they absolutely don't like
Of course they think a little differently, which is manifested in the fact that they are not very open towards other people, but they feel good that way
Dating disorders can occur because they are antisocial and don't know how to open up towards a normal person, which is often a problem for them too, sometimes, but they don't think differently from other people: this is not a serious mental illness, just a behavioral disorder that can be treated with simple psychiatric antidepressants or anticonvulsants
It may not be a normal trait, but as long as they don't harm anyone, there is no problem with it
Just because someone is antisocial, you can't punish them, force them to socialize, because from these people will never become disco kings
Sexually unusual can mean many things, not necessarily psychopathy, unfulfilled desires or repressed sexual desire possibly the result of past or present severe mental trauma
A lot of people here would have trouble working out the questions...normally carried out by a professional

Welcome to GG....I scored 13 out of a possible 40, which is about 32.5%. I’m okay with that.
I appreciate you, thanks ThunderCat.Welcome to GG....
Have fun 😁😆
You're welcome 😁I appreciate you, thanks ThunderCat.
16 pointsthat's nice to know, but what did you score?
ps--i only scored 3...i disappointed myself as i'm actually quite normal then
Probably most of us 😂I just wanted to let you know I only read a sentence of this.
OMG I knew you would confirm my theory. You got 3 points as well16 points
Do you have 'excess glibness' or superficial charm?
0 I've been burnded out this for me a long time ago
Do you have a grandiose sense of self-worth
1 It's a good question, what do we mean by "grandiose", if there is no physiologically so-called "Napoleon effect" then I don't think I would be so useless and idiotic
Do you have an excess need for stimulation or proneness to boredom?
1 I don't need any external stimulation, and I don't get bored except rarely
Do you pathologically tell lies?
0 I don't lie, except in very rare cases when it is absolutely necessary for certain reasons
Are you conning or manipulative?
0 No, I always give and say my honest opinion myself, which is usually not to the liking of many people
I don't plan to manipulate anyone, if I am okay with it then I'm happy for them, if not then goodbye
I also hate cheaters or manipulators
Do you display a lack of remorse or guilt?
2 Yes, if I truly regret something I did or feel sorry for someone or something then yes
Do you have 'shallow affect' (a condition that reduces a person's emotional reactivity)?
2 My emotional reactivity is extremely shallow, I'm not interested in much of anything for the past 20 years or so because several people have worked to make me lose interest in life and they succeeded in doing so
Then now they're trying to shock me back into life after almost 20 years of mental and physical breakdown as if nothing had happened or would happen
Are you callous, or do you lack empathy?
2 I have become insensitive in certain areas and I am not very empathetic either, because no one is with me
I am typically getting angrier towards everyone
Do you live a 'parasitic lifestyle'?
0 I have not really been on the minimum for 20 years and I spend half of my financial income on household expenses, I can't do more because I either don't have the opportunity or I can't do it for mental or physical reasons or cant get workplace
Do you have poor behavioural controls?
1 Yes, my manners could be a little better, but after almost 20 years of torment and suffering, this shouldn't be expected of me anymore
I was once a different person when I was young mentally who was much more polite and kind, let's say that you should only be too kind to your own family members, friends and acquaintances, so that they don't quickly stab you in the back
Do you display promiscuous sexual behaviour?
0 Never against a woman
Although feminism has reached such a level that stinking whores are suing here for "sexual harassment" who have a half-meter-long salami-sized black dick in their mouth and in their ass at the same time
Do you have a history of early behavioural problems?
0 No I never had any problems as a child and my behaviour was always excellent in school too
Do you have a lack of realistic long-term goals?
2 I tend to lack short-term goals, I don't know how much time I have left
Are you more impulsive than now?
2 Yes I am quite a nervous type, I get up on the ceiling quickly
Do you highly irresponsible?
0 I am not always very careful
Do you struggle or fail to accept responsibility for your own actions?
2 Of course, I always stand up for my goals and take responsibility for them
Have you had numerous short-term 'marital' relationships?
0 No, not too many, on the one hand I don't like condoms during sex, but I never wanted to get an STD, so I always refrained from having too frequent sexual relations with many strange women spontaneously or prostitutes
Do you have a history of juvenile delinquency?
1 Yes, it happened at one time
Have you ever experienced a 'revocation of conditional release'?
0 No, everyone is always a kick the shit out of me
Do you display 'criminal versatility'?
1 Sometimes it is typical, at one time I spent a lot of time among relatively criminals and I know them quite well
