disaster "Stay safe from Covid-19." Source: (((CDC))). Year: 2021. Never forget this bullshit.

that's your problem then. You have too much free time on your hands.
Why don't you like working overtime? I worked 60 hour weeks for years.
I would rather sleep in, play video games, work on hobbies, etc. I don't mind working overtime to help out my company, but I simply don't need the money. That's all it would be. Extra spending money

I don't like working overtime
@Sue69 tells otherwise.

Lots of ignorant shit’s been said about LOS! He doesn’t collect government money, works 12 hour shifts

forget what you want to do, remember what you need to do.
By working steady OT, you can achieve your goal of moving to a better apartment complex.
Once there, try to play nice with others and all will okay.

To be honest, I kind of like my apartment complex aside from 2 neighbors who talk shit. I believe one or both of them will finally move themselves at lease renewal time. Yes I will try to be nicer to whoever takes their place. I just stonewall the neighbors now. It's like "okay -- you don't like me, I don't like you, let's just ignore one another's presence."

yes, moving is a major hassle, so if you can stay where you are it's better.

In my apartment building, i rarely acknowledge neighbors, but if i do it's a quick hello.

Some neighbors won't acknowledge me and that's fine ... neighbors are a nuisance to be managed, they are not your buddies, capiche???

Well if a neighbor is cordial, it's really nice. I had a Mexican lady living in the apartment across from me for years. She would bring me Mexican food and I would bring her my own food I cooked. Well when she moved, the new neighbor lady moved in. I initially did the same thing, periodically, you know, hi Michelle, I made some ribs, would you like some? And initially, she was really receptive. But over time, it was evident I was asking too incessantly. Well, I just thought I was being neighborly. So I just stopped asking. And now we just, like I said, ignore one another's presence. It's kind of awkward.

females are naturally wary of strange men (strangers i mean), and you spooked her by laying it on way too much.

The whole trick to getting gals is to be a cool easygoing guy ... and they'll come to you. Don't be scary crazy, that's all.

Yes and I was initially very laid back. I didn't offer to help her move in or anything, we just said hi and introduced ourselves and that was it .. it wasn't until months later I began to "feed" her.

And yes that was one thing she told me. The day after she moved in, her shower wouldn't turn off and she asked me to help. She said, "I'm sorry to bother you, it's just I'm a woman and I'm alone and I'm scared :(." So... Lesson learned with any type of gift-giving behavior among neighbors.

holy shit dude, you had it made ... and you fucked it up! You should ask yourself why you derailed a potential relationship with a babe.

Well like I said, you know, it was a cardinal mistake. I had only really lived in an apartment for a few years for the first time out on my own so I wasn't totally sure what the norms were between neighbors, esp. female vs. male neighbors. We were never going to be "friends" because she's too wary but we could have at least been cordial. One time she and I both left for work at the same time. I opened my door and she opened hers. She just kind of, eyed me warrily until I went past her. It would be nice to at least be able to wish one another good morning.

Oh well! Lesson learned!

forget about mistakes in the past, don't let them drag down the new you.

Work on continual self-improvement and you will be rewarded.

There's plenty of Mexican gals looking for a good-looking White Man, so you're set ... just watch the single moms!
