Ive seen this when they dump hot slag from trains in videos. Apparently its cause theres some water in it when that happens i recall.

But yea a lot of energy came out. Kinda reminds me of water in fry oil.

'Slag' sounds a bit like our 'Schlacke' and means the same (in the metallurgic context). Modern steelwork has its roots in the UK, even the old Krupp did research his business over there.
The hags/slags @Flatus Tube mentioned would be 'Schlampe' here, the word has a slight similarity too. :lol:
Fascinating. We call those heifers in the midwest USA. Its an agricultural term for healthy reproductive female cow. Bigger the better lol.
