Backstory

A motorcyclist died after suffering an accident during a performance on Sunday afternoon (23) at Beto Carrero World, a theme park in Penha (SC). The rider crashed into a ramp. The death of Lurrique Ferrari was confirmed in the early evening in an official statement released by the park.

The serious crash occurred during a performance of the so-called "Hot Wheels Epic Show". The scene was witnessed by hundreds of spectators in the audience.

The trick involved the rider exiting one ramp and descending another. A video taken by a spectator shows the moment the motorcyclist accelerates to climb the first ramp.

He goes after another rider, who manages to complete the maneuver. Lurrique, however, jumps off the first ramp but fails to access the second, hitting his head on the structure. He then falls to the ground.

After the accident, the rider was taken to the Marieta Konder Bornhauser Hospital in Itajaí, in the same region, where he underwent surgery but did not survive his injuries.
