During WW2, a PSA was put out to warn little ladies who were subbing for the men in factories, that long, flowing hair was a hazard. They tapped actress Veronica Lake to feature in this ad, as she was famous for her "peek a boo" hairstyle.
China needs a similar campaign, to warn of the hazards of having long hair, long sleeves or just being Chinese around heavy rotating and twirling machinery.
