I think it's more about realizing those times were so limited when you get older, it's something that only exists in memory and in comparison to current days - the times are remembered as being carefree and not bound by all the responsibilities thrust upon us as adults and parents etc. I dunno, I don't think it's about being stuck in the past or wanting to be irresponsible I think it's just a yearning people get to escape the baggage and bullshit sometimes and not have to constantly be analytical about every action or decision you make. I know what you mean though (I think) .. I removed myself from a toxic relationship and worked through a lot of baggage and crap from my past and my outlook seems much better - I HATE the idea of getting older but there's a quiet contentment knowing I have an advantage of life experience behind me in a lot of situations .. moving forward is not an option , it's a requirement ! (That being said , I totally understand the wanting to go back in time thing)

Yeah that's kind of my attitude also, I can identify some health issues and some faults and just hope I get some decent years between now and death. It's weird how so many things don't bother me anymore that used to bug me. I look around me and see everyone hung up on bullshit that doesn't matter, it almost feels empowering. I think you have the right attitude.
