I found some software that usually costs between $600-$900, cracked and patched, and didn't cost a penny.
After I installed it (yes I know), it gave my computer a massive dose of cyber AIDS.
I was mindful enough to hit my kill switch as quick as I could so that there was no internet connection.

Took me 8 hours to disinfect everything, which I had to do manually because my so called 'premium' anti-virus also got infected. It didn't notice that 45 other apps were full of malware, and kept telling me that everything was fine.

So ironically, the shit I pay for didn't work, and the shit I stole worked like a charm.
This is what my quarantine now looks like.

I sold stuff back in the day that was clean and made sweet money. One day a dude contacts me and get upset about the piece of software his mom purchased to learn a language. I told him how to install it and unlock another dozen versions for free.

I used to provide IT services. Malwarebytes is the best tool I ever used to remove viruses once there is an infection. Every professional IT tech I know considers it their trade secret. I use Avast for AV and it seems better than the alternatives, but all AVs have their limits.

I would get in contact with your bank and see if your account is empty 😂 you may have made some Indian kid very happy 🤣

what software costs $600-$900? I havent paid for data in decades and dont use any av.

Damn, I miss those limewire days. nostalgia overload😢
Probably Adobe products.

I miss the good old days of Limewire, as well. Back when a fan song for Legend of Zelda was labelled as by System of a Down. Those were the days. But I'm glad it's no longer a thing. More viruses downloaded to computers from them than sketchy porn sites.

So....you don't know how to pirate software correctly? What were you using? Limewire?
Something even older than that, Usenet.

The pirated software wasn't the issue, I always make sure those don't have any hidden nasties, I got duped with what I thought was the free trial executable that came along with the download. That was hiding the malware.
I ended up going to the official website and downloaded the free trial, then used the patches for the full version and it works great.

Data recovery wizard for an old hard drive that got raw formatted. I've used this years ago and it's the only one that recovered files.

I NEVER use AV software, I CAN code. No, really. Started in '77. Besides, the "holy grail" for digital databases since time began is a "one-click" DR system (today, ANYONE can do it with an external SSD), just go back to yesterday's "image".
Now that said, I DO have a LARGE collection OF viral code.
