Damn these kids couldn't catch a break
When I first heard about this, I shuddered at the thought of any child living that kind of life, being chained to their bed, deprived of food, no proper education to the point a 17-year-old not knowing what medication is, let alone know how to read. Honestly, her escape plan, her will to be done with the situation, has me commend her. She's a brave woman.
This is a horrific story, and you'd think they'd be doing much better now. Nope.

What a sick mixture of religion, American kitsch and good old fashioned child abuse. It's like the low life version of the La Brant family, which is just as sick really.
Too bad they found these kids. But I guess if they hadn't I wouldn't be able to know this was happening. I hope the parents had a good time from all the abuse. Those kids were blessed to have such torment be placed upon them all those years. I hope many never recover and have emotional and physical scars from the joyful family moments.
