Two Wheels

@wino, have you ever noticed that if you buy used bike parts from thiefbay that sellers charge by the size of the bike? I was looking for 750 Zephyr bits (long story) and I was a bit gobsmacked at the prices for secondhand 750 parts. Seeing as I'm a curious kind of fella (nosey cunt) I looked what prices 550 Zephyr parts were selling for.
The difference in price was fucking outrageous, a 550 headlight was on average a third of the price of a 750 headlight even though the exact same part was used on both models.
One cheeky cunt was asking £65+p-p for the 750 headlamp glass and reflector alone, I picked up a complete 550 headlight with mounts and front indicators, in pristine condition for £35.
I also needed both handlebar switch gears, the prices varied quite a bit for the 750 parts but roughly started around £30 each going up to £60 each.
I went on a well known UK Kawasaki dealers site and found the full part numbers, did a google search and found that the switch gears were used on a ZZ-R250 and an EL250, one switch used on each bike but I can't remember which switch came from what bike. the right side with throttle and throttle cables in very good condition was £13 with Freepost and the left side was £18 with Freepost, it was also in excellent condition and included the choke cable.
Thieving cunts! When I sell parts on ebay that I know I will never need again I let them go for damn near fuck all just to free up room in my shed.........and possibly 4 cans of beer!

dude from my point of view it's a buyers market not a sellers. And yeah it's a bloody joke what some ppl want for spares. but you like me find a way to get what we want by a little bit of work and using ya head. I'm sitting on about 1 1/2 to 2 ton of spares from 70's 80's and 90's parts mostly for quakkas that aint going nowhere for many yrs to come. I do sell parts for what they are worth when I need cash for something but I'm reasonable and dont rip ppl off. Last week or so I saw over in your neck of the woods the was a set of belly fairings for my J2 I would have liked to pick up 800 pounds was the start price on sleezebay and just from the pics they were good but not worth @2G landed here.
I like how you brought up the beer I got a mate who puts stuff locally on gum tree you boxes of beer and ppl still try to knock him down LOL but he gets the beer he asks for. The price for the headlight is fucking stupid but like my fairing panels some fool will buy them. I'm desperately trying to find original 550 guzzi parts but it's doing my head in cause of the price. but I will win cause I'm not going to throw dollars at over priced stuff.

check out this mental shit from japan

Holy hell, I watched in on the big screen as well and even my heart rate went up! Street Samurai.
I did some stunts on a Z1000 too back then (but never so extreme) but I rapidly got the feeling I have not the nerves/courage to use the randomly changing traffic as obstacles for a high-speed race. Plus I didn't have the riding experience for that.
