A US-flagged oil tanker, Stena Immaculate, and a Portuguese-flagged container ship, Solong, collided in the North Sea off the coast of the United Kingdom!

The British coast guard confirmed to that it received reports of the collision at 9:48 a.m. on Monday. Authorities are assessing the situation as response efforts continue.

The collision has potential environmental consequences, depending if and how much the tanker could spill into the sea.

@Dirl

The fuck did you do bro? You can’t steer a boat for shit.
In short: I was trying to do the same shit of cutting internet cables with the anchor, but it turns out the anchor got stuck on a rock and we were left there, neither moving forward nor backward. The Americans were distracted watching another Trump speech and didn't see us.

It's all good, no one was hurt. The company has already contacted me and I just had to say it was Putin's fault, they believed and even gave me a raise.

In the end, this is what happens when you follow the theories of someone who has never seen water in their life like @Bad Hippo .

Well, I guess it's So Long Stenna Immaculate...

Well, I guess it's So Long Stenna Immaculate...
They charged the Captain with manslaughter I read & also there's plastic nurdles everywhere & that's really bad news for the ecosystem near that estuary. πŸ˜• Even if they conclude this was done on purpose they won't necessarily say.

Plastic Nurdles are the worst aren't they?
Unfortunately... they go completely up the food chain through & to humans. All the dead birds & fish are gross to see & smell (happened a few times when we lived on the waterfront of the Long Island Sound actually) but, then the other animals that subsist off the fish & creatures near that estuary will starve slowly. It's not a quick death for any of the living creatures dependent on that eco system either. It's not as bad looking to the Exxon Valdez oil tanker spill but, that was crude, those animals actually died quicker than nurdles choke out an ecosystem. That tanker was carrying much more expensive petrol product that was all ready refined, jet fuel. Some military airplanes might not be able to fly for a bit I guess but, enjoy the microplastics since they didn't burn up somehow. Yum. Mmm. Microplastics. 😩
