From an outsider looking in, why has Trump implemented tariffs on Canada? I thought they were tight partners?

Because Trudeau hasn't bothered to agree to assist in reducing the amount of Fentanyl being smuggled from China through Canada and into the U.S. a very large amount of illegals also started using Canada as a preferable entry point and Trudeau has done NOTHING about it. He's now stupidly started a trade war that he can't win because he's a complete idiot and underestimates Trump. All he had to do was negotiate into some measures to help reduce the amount of criminals coming through Canada and into the U.S - wasn't hard .. but he's a retard... so now he has tariffs until he decides to use his brain a bit.
