Looks like a great time. We used to have my uncle drive us a couple of miles upriver when I was in high school and we would get a tube and jump in the swollen river and ride it for miles. Ahhh... Good times. 😂

Rivers can overflow pretty fast. Look at Texas and Arizona right now. The Texas flood alone covered 195 kilometers. You can check the weather in the area you're at via forecast sure, but what about other parts of the rest of the river?
