Because that's what cruise companies are spending their money on. The top engineers whose designs would entail top of the line machines along with experts required to work them plus having to replace them and the expensive repair for them. Companies do not work that way because it would make the cruise price 10x as much which would keep them from getting fully reserved cruises or keep them in the red until it bankrupts them. Instead they get the cheapest designs and equipment that will pass an inspection one time. Keep living in "Lala" and believing companies are going out of their way to protect the environment or the people in it. They are in it to get rich and stay that way.


There's only one way to reduce any pollution-Stop population growth or start reducing it. Otherwise it's just wasted efforts.

Won’t happen. The smartest scientists have stated humans need to leave earth to continue existence. I believe that whole heartedly. Because give it 500yrs and if humans haven’t left? It probably will have turned into a battered wasteland. Tat or the earth will form another type of change and eliminate human existence.

Pollution isn’t getting better. What you hear on tv and the internet is lies. China doesn’t even regulate pollution. Their refineries spit out pollution far greater than the US. However in the US, refineries can buy carbon credits from smaller refineries. It’s a money grab and make ppl feel good about US trying to “climate control.” A gimmick. We spit out carbon like the rest of them. Instead of sticking to what it’s was like before the 80s, with the introduction to plastic we hardly recycle any plastic. But we’ve created TONS of plastic products that don’t get recycled and just fill up waste lands or oceans. Imagine in 500 yrs how much fucking plastic will be covering the inner cities and shit.
