Yep, they get hot,and there's only one way you would know that. You didn't touch the motor but one time, did you?My Grandmother used to have them... and they work great... but they get hot as fuck and I was always afraid they'd eat my fingers![]()
Off topic: My dumb ass put my hand on the motor of my lawnmower earlier today. It won't happen again. I hope. lolYep, they get hot,and there's only one way you would know that. You didn't touch the motor but one time, did you?
DH - had to laugh - I haven't heard "dinky toys" in ages. Do you remember the larger scale ones. About 5 or 6'' long. My bro and I would play, and one would ask "Wanna play big dinks or little dinks?". Some fun.Ah, finally someone else who is also retarded enuff to collect dinky toys, lol. I have hundreds and hundreds, mostly HW, of toys cars. The hearse in the 3rd row looks wicked. HW didn't produce many hearses so I'm thinking that it's a car from a company such as Johnny Lighting?
Does your Scoobie-Doo van still work?
As for guns, I have many WW2 and modern-era guns that are in the 10" action figure size (GI Joe, Dragon, ect) but I prefer the full-size real ones: they can fire.
Cheers ~ DH
:eep:DirtyDiamonds I have started a collection of stuff to send you. I will hold off sending it until I get a few more items gathered up. So far there's a scalpel, infant feeding tube, suture removal kit, and a medical staple remover.

That particular fan is from 1921 if I recall. Great original condition. It is an Emerson. For the most part, they run VERY silently. And the motor never gets hot on any of my Emersons if you do a seasonal oiling. Great fan. It sits across the room on a dresser and runs all night long.Yep, they get hot,and there's only one way you would know that. You didn't touch the motor but one time, did you?
I LOVE those! Awesome!View attachment 172994
When I run across some sort of Simpson miniature at a reasonable price, I'll buy it
Every now and then the Sydney Morgue replaces its tables . A friend used to work there . On average they do it ever 2 yrs . Most go to auction , but you can bid on-line and considering what they are - no one wants them - They go cheapEgyptian artefacts . Necklaces from tombs that still smell like decomp. Other things as well..
I'm really after an autopsy table hard to find in Australia.
