games What Game Are You Currently Playing?

I didn't even know this game existed a year ago, I mostly played company of heroes until sega fucked that franchise up. All my guys ran out of bullets, and some german sniper killed them all one by one (didn't know about picking shit up/examine). Great stuff, deep game.

First titles had an excessive micromanagement, inventory had loads of stuff you could or have to use. I.e., Matches to light up a dynamite charge or a heap of straw, molotov cocktails, tool-box to repair arms/tanks, mine-seekers etc. Quite difficult at times in real-time, you couldn't pause the game to give orders or change things/weapons in the inventory.
First Company of Heroes titles are great, good mix between 'reality' and action. I have them still installed (all in one) to repeat a mission once a while.
Haven't played the 2nd series until now, seems not so good you wrote here once.
The later Total War titles weren't my taste as well, campaigns in multiplayer style. Same with Dawn of War2 and Supreme Commander2

i usually play call of duty , gta5 but a gore game would manhunt and mortal kimbat x and resident evil

Just got Assassin's Creed for PS3 for $1. Yeh, yeh...'PS4 dude' etc. Fuck that noise. I don't have the time for gaming (day job/music) that I used to.

I like the 'Elder Scrolls' series, and downloaded the Skyrim Special Edition some time ago, free on Steam, you need the original game though.
Nice 'ultra' textures everywhere and all DLCs inclusive. Combined with some mods (remote control for Lydia!) it's a good game.
Playing the second time now, first time I couldn't kill the dragon on top of the mountain. Fucking 'meteorites' spell he had!

IMG_1683.webp Killzone 2. Surprisingly good for an older PS3 game.

Bethesda knew there was no way in hell the PC market would pay for that rehash. Mods on vanilla are still a better option than their "new" version.

Many Nexus mods don't work on this edition (mostly the SKSE framework related). All mods have to be from bethesda.net, the game has a mod-downloader/manager implemented now. I miss the full 'Sky UI' stuff though, atm there's only a light version available.
I have a funny mod for Lydia now, she's much better controlable, can build a camp for sleeping, wears a backpack, levels up, etc. When it's no fight, she starts to work or cook.

Nexus has a separate section for the remake, but only a tenth of the mods exist for that version. Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community

Keep that bitch working!

I played a couple hours of the new Mass Effect. It is underwhelming to say the least. The character creator is awful, the new speech choices are no better than the old system, and of course the animation is sub par. I don't like the feel of the controls at all, they feel slippery and uncoordinated.

Anyone else try it yet?
