Spent some cash and got a asus 5770 radeon whatever on the cheap.

I haven't taken much notice of games, consoles and shit in the last 10 years so here's a noobs verdict, so far. I base my scores on will I play it again, not on how it looks.

Mafia II:

Pros; Awesome graphics, fun missions, well made game engine with a cool fighting/driving system.

Cons; A giant well rendered city with about three usable doors and buildings. The game's run on rails. Dissapointed the focus and time put into the graphics never filtered down to the people making a city more then a pretty what's-the-point-of-exploring-it backdrop. For that reason I see myself replaying it being slim to none. All up a very pretty interactive movie, nothing more.

Starcraft 2:

pros; it's starcraft.

cons; it's starcraft. It's a business (ask any Korean) so I never expected anything more then a prettier laser beam and some new units. I got exactly what I was expecting.

it could have been so much more... i was hoping once you're a made man and shit you could go shake down shops, run illegal booze around or something and whack people and fight other families... looking for playboy mags and buying cheap suits hardly seemed like a great ending for such a cool game.

I loved that game. A lot of people didn't like it, and I don't see why not. Good game, and they should've ported it or made a new version for x360 or ps3.
