I hate when they unbalance a game based on comments or without taking into account the gameplay. This happened with the war thunder (tanks) .. I use the Germans, Gaijin people noticed that achieving a Tiger gave you many advantages (which is historically correct) ... what did they do then? They changed the level to the Tiger so that when you enter a game with that tank you end up facing tanks that came out after the Tiger, and you are always at a disadvantage (a great disadvantage). They ended up completely ruining the German side and ruining the game too ... before when you could visualize a Tiger you had to create a strategy to hunt it ... now the Tiger is the one that is always at a disadvantage against any opponent because the opponents that appear are more modern tanks ...

You have to fly 200km in real time?

Not if you not want, you can speed the time up or start already in the air at a point near the front. In real time I use the time mostly to test things out, how the AI reacts to orders or settings on the plane. And often you have enemies trying to intercept you on the way to the frontline.

Any mods that you recommend?

The one that makes the squares for stockpile hold like 10x more. Also operation mods (like increase success chance), I like to cut the legs off my prisoners and replace them with wooden pegs, they never escape far. Always have a cannibal to eat the people with weak stats too.

Stockpile mod tho, you can store a fucking ton of food close by and use less space building a freezer.

Also, if you enjoy Rimworld you should give Kenshi a go. Same open world rts rpg survival, except you can actually explore the map freely.

Bought today an early access title, 20 bucks. German u-boat simulator with 'survival game' aspects, looks very good.

Had to start a new campaign as Bf-109 pilot '41/Moscow front in 'IL-2'. My plane got damaged by a Russian fighter and I could do an emergency landing behind our blue frontline but somehow the game decided I'm missed in action. Very strange.
Because you have no savegames the three months old career ended there. Great.
