Sorry but no. I quite liver pate, don't mind the odd chicken liver if wrapped in bacon. But calf or beef liver prepared in any form is fucking gross. Its not that I have a problem with organ meat. there's dish with calf's heart I enjoy and a cold tongue meat salad is nice once and a while, but the texture of liver is vile. Its like meaty sawdust no matter how many onions you try to eat it with.Liver and onions View attachment 699416
I’ve found people love it or hate it 🤣 it’s also very important to not over cook beef liver and it’s extremely tender and light tasting should be about 20 to 30 seconds on each side high heat and light pale pink in the centerSorry but no. Liver, kidney (always smells like piss no matter how they've been prepared) and calf brains is where I draw the line.
As a kid Mom tried everything to get us to eat it. Lightly cooked, breaded like schnitzel, soaked, not soaked, its all disgusting IMO.I’ve found people love it or hate it 🤣 it’s also very important to not over cook beef liver and it’s extremely tender and light tasting should be about 20 to 30 seconds on each side high heat and light pale pink in the center
