Cry of Fear is pretty good considering it’s a free game. Great(horrible) sound design, it’s one of the few games I’ve played where some of the enemies make such awful noises that I instinctively mag-dump wildly to make them shut up faster.
I also do not like chase sequences, and there are several of them in this game. Being chased by an almost unkillable monster, who is screaming the whole time, and who kills you as soon as they touch you, makes my butthole pucker. If you sprint away you will run out of stamina and move slower, and then it catches up and kills you. You’re supposed to NOT sprint, and unless you turn into a dead-end, you will be able to stay juuust out of range. Still gotta listen to the horrible noises it makes though. Ugh.

White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is also pretty spooky if you can manage to get it running. The 2001 version. The 2015 remake is stupid and not scary at all.
